Lifting the curtain on the stigma that theatre is for the elite, The 1440 Experience provides students the opportunity to experience the magic of professional theatre, music, and art in a setting that is educational, entertaining, and enlightening.
The 1440 Experience provides access to the artistic process and experience FREE-OF-CHARGE to hundreds of students, by targeting economically disadvantaged secondary school students in the public school system. As part of the program, Artes de la Rosa provides support for art, tickets, transportation, scripts, lectures, and study guides, all at no cost to students, schools, or the districts! Furthermore, students are invited to participate in artist-lead discussions with other audience members, patrons, and community art advocates giving them the opportunity to discover the background, creators, and prominent themes of the performance they attended.
